I'm so excited to be throwing my 5th annual Halloween Bash for my kids and their friends! EEEEK! Halloween has to be my most favorite holiday for "creative expression" ever!
However, this year will be very different....my boys are 13 & 12....and my baby girl is 9! Not so little anymore. Soooooo being creative, while oozing my "SWAG," is going to pose a challenge. Gone are the days of "make me cute" & "keep me calm!" It's now....*sigh*....
"make me creepy" & "freak me out!"
Which is why I'm relying on my latest source of inspiration & obsession..... Pinterest!!!! Yup! Everything I make or design for this bash will be the latest and greatest stuff being pinned and re-pinned by those who congregate on this FABULOUS site. The Pinteholics! Everyone knows, if you are an avid "pinner" on Pinterset you ARE, no doubt, one of the greatest judges of "wow-factor" ever! ....AND If it's being pinned it's AHHH-mazing & linked to the the blogs of the best "Creators of Juciness" on the web. Needless to say, I'm prepared for my tween challenge. I'm armed & dangerous and sooooo ready to knock the party socks off of these miniature "Simon Cowells of Halloween."
As I take my web-based journey for "HallowTween Bash" inspiration, I will be choosing my most fave food/drink/sweets/decor/game ideas and highlighting the blogs each day on our Piggies & Paws Facebook Page! Go LIKE us, so you don't miss a thing! My goal is to find and highlight the best stuff, for the best party without bursting the bank! I'll post my finds and updates here, so you all can be inspired too!
By the end of the week, Friday - October 28, I will (with my beautiful friend Kadi Prescott) be filming all the glorious ideas in the midst of our festivities! Then, blasting it ALL. OVER. THE. INTERNET!!!! Yaaaay! That should definitely "FREAK" my kids out....don't ya think? HAPPY HALLOWEEN, BABIES!!! I can hear them now, "Mom...quit...thaaat's soooooo annooooying!" YUP...that's my job! SMOOCH! :)
HERE'S MY FIRST PICK:
The cute Cake-Pops
I'll be making from Bakerella!
I love this site and can't wait
